Whether you are a passenger-transport business or simply have a large family, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Passenger Van provides tons of space for people and their gear. The Sprinter Passenger Van is available in 144-inch and 170-inch wheelbase models. The short-wheelbase model comes in both standard-roof and high-roof variants, while the long-wheelbase is offered exclusively as a high-roof. It’s also offered in 1500 and 2500 versions.
The short wheelbase version provides seating for up to 12 passengers, while the extended model can seat up to 15. There is also a Sprinter Crew Van, with combined cargo and passenger areas, which is ideal for hauling out a crew and their gear to a worksite.
The Sprinter Passenger Van comes standard with a four-cylinder turbocharged gas engine. It makes 188 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. There’s also a 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes 161 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. The range-topping engine is a 6-cylinder turbodiesel, which puts out 188 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque.
The gas engine routes power through a nine-speed automatic transmission, and the diesel engines are paired to a seven-speed automatic. All engines route power to the rear wheels. The six-cylinder engine is also available with four-wheel drive.
Depending on configuration, the Sprinter’s payload capacity is between 2,877 and 3,494 pounds. When properly equipped, the Sprinter Passenger Van can tow up to 5,000 pounds.
Aside from their aforementioned seating arrangements, Sprinter Passenger Vans provide basic standard equipment, such as a simple AM/FM stereo. There are numerous options packages available. Considering how spartan the standard Sprinter is, many of these packages add basic creature comforts. In addition to these, a Premium Package adds a 7-inch touchscreen and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. A Premium Plus Package further upgrades the infotainment system to a 10.25-inch screen with navigation and wireless device charging.
That said, there are some modern safety features, such as standard forward collision avoidance. There are a number of optional driver assistance features, such as lane-departure warning, traffic-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring, and a 360-degree parking camera. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Passenger Van is backed by a three-year/36,000-mile powertrain warranty.

What owners say
"Overall, owners really appreciate the 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for its smooth driving experience, spaciousness, and good handling. Many drivers enjoy the comfort it provides, especially in urban settings. However, some have expressed concerns about potential hidden issues, particularly with vehicles that had prior damage, leading to doubts about value for money."
Vehicle had undercarriage damage that was rebuilt after it was totaled so there is no way to know what else will be a future problem. Not worth the price they are asking.

May 26, 2024Has Good features & maintains good value! Would compare to the Sprinter 3500 but Extended version!

August 6, 2024Great Van, made for the road. You can comfortably drive around the city in style. You are seated high and in control of the road. There is plenty of space for passengers and there luggage.
