How much does the 2026 BMW 4 Series cost?

Prices have softened 8.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 844 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2026 BMW 4 Series a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner approval, and the 2026 BMW 4 Series backs that up with a premium equipment list, strong performance, and a distinctive design that sets it apart from the related sedan. It also offers a familiar BMW feel underneath, since it shares much of its mechanical and interior hardware with the 3 Series. If you want a used luxury coupe or convertible with a high-quality interior and plenty of standard equipment, this model year fits that use case well. Deal availability is healthy, with 34.8% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 BMW 4 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 BMW 4 Series is presented as a well-equipped premium model with a familiar BMW foundation, which can be reassuring if you want a used luxury car that feels established rather than experimental. Its carryover status also suggests a stable formula rather than a major redesign year. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying close attention to condition and maintenance history, especially on higher-spec versions.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 BMW 4 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even when the market looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for wear, prior repairs, and any signs that the car has been driven hard or maintained inconsistently. Focus especially on overall condition, since premium models can be expensive to refresh if cosmetic or mechanical issues show up later.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 BMW 4 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 844 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.18% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $53,762, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 BMW 4 Series's resale value?

The current average of $53,762 sits slightly below last year's $58,553.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more carefully now and potentially leave room for steadier resale later if the car stays in strong condition. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that a well-kept example should be easier to position than one with visible wear or a weak history. Strong equipment, premium branding, and broad buyer interest can help support demand when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2026 BMW 4 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2026 is the right pick if you want the current formula with strong owner approval, a healthy supply of listings, and a softer price trend than last year. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still be worth comparing, but the 2026 gives you a compelling mix of value, condition, and market availability.
