The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid stands out because it adds a new hybrid model to an already strong Civic lineup, bringing more power and significantly improved fuel economy. That combination makes it especially appealing for buyers who want a compact car that is both efficient and more capable than before, while still keeping the Civic’s affordable and attractive character.

Amazing comfort, lots of power and fun to drive. The bose sound system is mind blowing. The quiet hum of the electric motor was a nice break from all the noisy gas motors I was used to. The only issue I have so far is the wireless charger makes my phone run hot and it is not a fast charge.

How much does the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $28,346 |
| Year-Round Low | $28,129 |
| Year-Round High | $29,194 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $29,195 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −2.91% |
Prices have softened 2.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,265 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.
It stands out because it adds a new hybrid model to an already strong Civic lineup, bringing more power and significantly improved fuel economy. That makes it especially appealing if you want a compact car that feels more capable than before while still staying affordable and attractive.
The main trade-off is that all-wheel drive is not available, and the hybrid’s price sits above the non-hybrid Civic trims. Even so, the car’s comfort and fuel efficiency are clear strengths, and 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid reliable?
Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid is described as a polished, well-rounded compact car with a smooth, quiet powertrain and a comfortable ride. Its hybrid system is presented as responsive and seamless, and the cabin is positioned as a strong point thanks to its quality materials and thoughtful layout.
The performance notes also point to a powertrain that feels more responsive than the numbers alone suggest, with smooth transitions between electric and gasoline power. On the ownership side, the hybrid’s stronger fuel economy can help reduce running costs over time.
If you plan to keep the car for several years, the main long-term ownership risk is simply making sure the hybrid system and overall condition have been maintained properly before you buy.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because accident-free listings are strong but not universal. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing, especially if you’re comparing cars with similar prices and mileage. Focus on overall condition, feature content, and whether the car has the equipment you want for daily use.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base trim keeps things simple, while higher trims add a digital instrument panel and more upscale cabin and tech touches. The cabin is already one of the nicer ones in the class, but the higher trims bring a more premium feel.
- Powertrain: The hybrid uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque. It is tuned for smooth, responsive driving and is expected to return 36% more miles to the gallon than the previous setup.
- Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, and automatic high beams. The Sport trim adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the top Touring trim adds parking-speed automatic braking, parking proximity sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.
- Infotainment: The base trim includes a seven-inch touchscreen, HondaLink app support, a four-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Higher trims add a larger nine-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument panel, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, wireless phone integration, and a wireless charging pad.
- Fuel efficiency: The hybrid is estimated to achieve 49 mpg in combined driving.
Which 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid trim should I buy?
The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid is offered in 2 trim levels: Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid.
Here's the short version:
- Sport Hybrid: This is the better value if you want the hybrid powertrain without stretching too far on price. It adds a sunroof, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control on top of the supporting Sport equipment, making it the trim most buyers should start with.
- Sport Touring Hybrid: Choose this if you want the most upscale Civic Hybrid experience. It adds the strongest tech and luxury upgrades, including Google Built-in, a larger digital instrument panel, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, and a wireless charging pad.
The Sport trim adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the top Touring trim extends automatic braking to parking lot speeds and adds parking proximity sensors and rain-sensing wipers.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,265 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.91% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 84.7% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $28,129, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid's resale value?
The current average of $28,346 sits slightly below last year's $29,195.
That softer pricing trend suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable point. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum alone.
Because the model has strong appeal as an efficient and comfortable compact car, well-kept examples should still attract interest. Listings with desirable features and clean history should be easier to move than rougher examples.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid safe?
The 2025 Honda Civic sedan earns five-star ratings in overall, side, and rollover protection, and four-star ratings for frontal collisions from NHTSA. It also earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, and automatic high beams. The Sport trim adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the top Touring trim adds parking-speed automatic braking, parking proximity sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.
Should I buy a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.91% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- Expert or safety highlight specific to this year from the debut of a new Hybrid model that promises more power and significantly improved fuel economy.
The bottom line: The 2025 model is the right path if you want the new hybrid powertrain, stronger efficiency, and a more polished Civic experience. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully and target the lower end of the market, but the 2025 is the better pick when you want the newest hybrid setup and a strong mix of comfort, efficiency, and features.
