How much does the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

There are 4,851 listings available, which suggests you should have a solid range of choices.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE is a qualified yes for you if you want a midsize luxury SUV with broad configuration flexibility and a polished cabin. It earns a 3/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating, which lines up with its mix of strengths and compromises.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The GLE’s appeal starts with its multiple body styles and multiple powertrain options, plus a stylish interior that helps it feel upscale and family-friendly. It also brings a broad range of luxury-SUV versatility, with configurations that can suit shoppers who want comfort, performance, or added utility.

The trade-offs are real: its styling can feel ungainly, it drives bigger than it looks, and outward visibility is poor. Even so, it remains a solid choice in a competitive class.

With 32.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE is positioned as a mainstream luxury SUV in Mercedes’ lineup, and its expert evaluation emphasizes breadth of capability more than any single mechanical standout. The powertrain lineup includes a turbocharged four-cylinder with mild-hybrid assistance, a turbocharged inline-six with mild-hybrid assistance, and additional higher-output options, which gives you flexibility across performance and efficiency priorities.

The performance writeup also points to strong refinement, especially from the inline-six, while noting that the vehicle can feel much larger from behind the wheel than its size suggests. That matters for long-term ownership because a vehicle that feels cumbersome in tight spaces can become tiring to live with over time.

Mercedes includes a four-year/50,000-mile new-vehicle warranty, which is in line with many luxury brands. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that higher-complexity versions can be more expensive to own if you choose a heavily optioned or higher-output model.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim or heavily optioned example. Focus on condition details that matter in a luxury SUV: interior wear, electronics operation, and evidence of prior bodywork or curb damage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is a major selling point, with upscale materials, ambient lighting, and available Manufaktur interior colors that can make higher trims feel especially special. Base-model equipment gaps matter because some of the most desirable luxury touches are tied to options or higher configurations.
• Powertrain: The lineup spans a turbocharged four-cylinder with mild-hybrid assistance, a turbocharged inline-six with mild-hybrid assistance, a plug-in hybrid, a V8, and AMG performance models. You should match the engine to how you actually drive, since refinement and efficiency vary widely across the range.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with exit assist, crosswind assist, parking assist, a driver attention monitor, a 360-degree camera system, and Pre-Safe. Adaptive cruise control is part of the optional Driver Assistance Package, so check whether a used example has it.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and built-in navigation. The interface offers multiple control methods, but you should verify that the system responds properly and that all screen functions work as intended.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-four is rated at 23 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive and 22 mpg combined with AWD, while the plug-in hybrid is rated at 23 mpg combined and up to 50 miles of electric range.

Which 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 6 trim levels: GLE 350, GLE 450 4Matic, GLE 450e 4Matic, GLE 580 4Matic, AMG GLE 53 4Matic+, AMG GLE 63 S 4Matic+.

Here's the short version:

• GLE 350: This is the entry point and the best-value choice if you want the GLE’s core luxury-SUV experience without paying for extra power you may not need. It gives you the broad appeal of the model while keeping the price and complexity more manageable.
• GLE 450 4Matic: This is the sweet spot if you want stronger performance and a smoother-feeling powertrain than the base model. It suits you best if you want a more upscale driving experience without jumping into AMG territory.
• GLE 450e 4Matic: Choose this if you want the plug-in hybrid’s efficiency and electric-range advantage. It’s the right fit if your driving pattern lets you take advantage of charging.
• GLE 580 4Matic: This is for you if you want V8 power and a more muscular character. It makes sense if performance matters more than efficiency.
• AMG GLE 53 4Matic+: Pick this if you want a performance-focused version with serious pace but not the full top-end AMG experience. It’s the enthusiast’s middle ground.
• AMG GLE 63 S 4Matic+: This is the top performance choice, aimed at you if outright speed and drama matter most. It’s the most extreme version in the lineup.

Adaptive cruise control remains part of the optional Driver Assistance Package, so check for that package if it matters to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,851 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $61,591, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $61,601 sits slightly below last year's $68,624.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more selectively today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on trim, condition, and equipment because the model is already trading below its prior-year average.

If you own one for the long term, keeping mileage reasonable and maintenance records complete should help protect value. Higher-spec versions may hold appeal with the right buyer, but the broader market is still pricing this model more cautiously than it was a year ago.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE safe?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with exit assist, crosswind assist, parking assist, a driver attention monitor, a 360-degree camera system, and Pre-Safe. Adaptive cruise control is not standard; it’s part of the optional Driver Assistance Package, which also adds automatic speed-limit and curve adaptation, stop-and-go functionality, lane-change assist, evasive steering assist, a cross-traffic function for automatic emergency braking, and an expanded driver-monitoring system that can bring the vehicle to a stop if the driver is unresponsive.

The front-crash prevention tech received only “Marginal” and “Acceptable” ratings in standard and optional forms, respectively, so that’s worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.
• It adds new configurations and paint choices while keeping the GLE’s broad powertrain range and upscale cabin appeal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $56,176, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $61,601 average.
• It adds a facelift with an upgraded interior and infotainment system.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $69,198, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $61,601 average.
• It adds a standard AMG Line exterior on the six-cylinder GLE 450 and a new Manufaktur Edition.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version with current-year updates and a broad shopping pool, the 2025 is the primary path. If price matters most, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 makes sense only if its newer styling and edition content are worth the premium to you.
